The Root Note (Red)

Learn that the root note is always red and is the foundation of every chord.

Instructions

  1. Set Level 2 (Intervals & Colors) on Guitar.
  2. Select the C Major chord. The red dots are root notes (C).
  3. Switch to G Major. Notice the red root moves — it's now on G.
  4. Try A Minor. The red root is on A. Every chord is named after its root.
  5. The root is always interval "R" — the reference point for all other colors.
TIP

In ChordColor, red always means "root." When you see a red dot, you're looking at the note the chord is named after.
